The Cadillac XT5 here at Cole Cadillac in Portage, MI features a semi-autonomous driving system called Super Cruise and is used when a driver has their eyes off the road for greater than three seconds. Instead of activating the system manually, cruise control is always on and ready to go. The Super Cruise can support up to two passengers in the front seat if it senses no one is in the backseat.
It has adaptive cruise control that automatically changes the speed to keep the desired distance between other vehicles. It also utilizes 'stop and go' functionality, adding to driver comfort.
The Cadillac XT5 also features a surround camera system that provides a bird's eye view of the surrounding environment by utilizing four exterior cameras. This aids the driver in seeing what would be 'blind spots' for a normal mirror.
The driver assist system features both auto parking and automated parallel parking options. This makes it easier to get into tight spaces in busy parking lots or have the vehicle park itself while you are inside a store or home.
